Does AX5400 "require" antennas?

We purchased an AX5400. All ads and photos show it without antennas, yet, antennas are listed as available. The documentation does not specifically say if they are "required" or not. We previously had a WAC6550 and while it could accept antennas, they weren't required and its range was adequate.

So, does the AX5400 have any kind of range "without" antennas?

    Could you please confirm if the AX5400 access point you mentioned refers to the outdoor AP WAX655E? The outdoor AP WAX655E is not embedded with internal antennas, and external antennas are available for separate purchase.

    Currently, we only have the 802.11ac outdoor AP, WAC6552D-S, which supports internal antennas. For the AX5400 or higher version, the outdoor AP with embedded internal antennas is still under planning.

    Thank you. We'll order antennas. You should update your documentation to state that there are "no" imbedded antennas. Currently, no source states that clearly. All photos on the web show the unit without antennas which implies that it doesn't need them.
