NWA50AX lots of disconnects in access point usage
I have two NWA50AX on Poe have had them for 2 years now, generally no problems.
but recently noticed a lot of disconnections (red) bars on the graphs in the nebula dashboard.
see photo below.
also some wireless device don’t roam very well between access points. Often have to turn wifi on and off on the devices - iOS and iPadOS
any ideas?
on the latest firmware if that helps.

Hi @plimlico24
As discussed in our private messages, the issue you're encountering is related to compatibility between your TP-Link router and Zyxel AP. After changing to the Linksys router, the connectivity between Nebula CC and the Zyxel AP appears normal. To ensure stable connectivity, we recommend using your current Linksys router as the primary option.

Hi @plimlico24
Thank you for enabling Zyxel Support.
Regarding the frequent disconnections (red bars) you are observing in the Nebula dashboard, this issue might be related to the uplink device of your APs. Could you please try changing the DNS settings on your uplink router/gateway to use Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4) and see if this resolves the issue?
For improving wireless device roaming between your access points, please follow the guidance in this article:. Ensuring that your devices are set up correctly for seamless roaming can significantly enhance their performance and connectivity.
Additionally, we noticed that a device with the MAC address xx:xx:xx:0e:e6:c0 is frequently failing to connect to the lounge SSID due to a key handshake failure. If this device is an IoT device, it might not fully support features like 802.11k/v/r. We recommend connecting it to a 2.4GHz SSID without any advanced settings. If possible, try connecting this device to another SSID, such as 16_smart, to see if that improves the connection stability.
Please let us know if these suggestions help or if you need further assistance.
