USG FLEX H Series - GUI Enhancements

The latest firmware update for USG FLEX H Series includes several enhancements to the graphical user interface (GUI) to improve user experience and increase engagement with security features. Here are the key updates:

1. Secure Reporter Links Integration

To increase visibility and engagement with Secure Reporter, we have integrated several hyperlinks within the GUI. Secure Reporter allows users to access detailed traffic and security statistics, logs, and more comprehensive data storage compared to local device logs.

• Hyperlink Addition: A "view more" hyperlink has been added to various statistics and log pages. This link redirects users to the corresponding page in Secu Reporter.
• 24-Hour Summary: The local device stores logs for the last 24 hours. With a security service license, SecuReporter stores logs for up to 365 days.
• Log Categories: In the event logs of the USG FLEX H Series, users can filter logs by category. Categories that have corresponding SecuReporter pages will display a SecuReporter button, which redirects to detailed logs in SecuReporter.
• Tutorial Video: A hyperlink to a SecuReporter tutorial video has been added to help users understand and utilize SecuReporter effectively.

2. Reference Tooltips

• Quick Access: Users can hover over specific objects (like DMZ or LAN) in the security policy section to view a reference tooltip. Clicking on this tooltip opens a mini window with more information.
• Direct Navigation: Clicking on an object will now directly bring users to the relevant configuration page, eliminating the need for additional steps.

3. License Expiration Notification

• Notification Bell: A new feature has been added to the notification bell icon. An orange dot will appear when a license expires.
• Detailed Notifications: Clicking on the notification will bring up detailed information about the expired license. Different pages will show specific messages related to license expiration, prompting users to renew their licenses.

4. Date Code Firmware Notification

• Cloud Upgrade Restriction: If a device is using a date code firmware version, the cloud upgrade option will be disabled. Users will see a message informing them that the new firmware download feature is disabled due to an unofficial firmware version.
• Manual Upgrade: Users can still perform manual local firmware upgrades even if the cloud upgrade option is disabled.

Summary

These enhancements aim to provide a more user-friendly experience and better integration with SecuReporter. They also ensure users are promptly informed of license expirations and the limitations associated with date code firmware versions.
