Port Based VLAN's - GS1900-8HP
Am having some trouble setting up a switch with some port based vlans… Could someone point me in the right direction please.
I have a new POE+ external 5G modem that i would like to power from the switch (currently on a power injector), what i would like to do is create a 2 port VLAN so that one port sends power to the modem and the other goes into the WAN port on the firewall with the receiving data. None of the other 6 ports need to see this.
Seem to be going round and round in circles trying to get this to work. Created a VLAN for this (30).
On VLAN ID 1 (default) selected forbidden for the 2 ports (6 & 7)
On VLAN ID 30 Only 6 & 7 show untagged, all others forbidden
Ports 6 & 7 - PVID 30, Accepted Type: All, Ingress Filtering & VLAN Trunk both Disabled.
Where am i going wrong please
Thanks

Hi @Ninja365 ,
Could you share with us which issue you are facing? Which device works wrong? Is there no Internet? …
By the way, please tell us the application when you connect the GS1900-8HP to the POE+ external 5G modem and firewall at GS1900-8HP’s port 6 & 7.

Hi Judy,
Thanks for coming back to me. I would like to create a Port Based VLAN on my GS1900-8HP using ports 6 & 7. This should be invisible to the rest of the switch as mentioned in my previous post. By doing this it will allow me to power the 5G modem from the switch (port6) with the return data (port7) going straight into the WAN port of the Firewall. I've followed several configuration walkthrough's on the support articles but cannot get this right.

Hi Judy,
Thank you for your ongoing assitance. In the iterim period, i have managed to solve my issues by simply creating a new VLAN(0040) using the wizard and assigning it to ports 6 & 7 which has created the segregated VLAN i needed.
