Hello, I am trying to power a Wifi access point ( ubiquiti NanoBeam 5AC Gen2 ) via the GS1920-48HPv2 switch, without success.

The Wifi access point works correctly using the PoE adapter supplied by the manufacturer, along with the access point, using the same RJ45 cables.

But when I want to power directly via the GS1920-48HPv2 switch, the access point doesn't start.

I've tried changing the switch settings in “PoE Setup” ==> “802/3af” - Nothing.

I've tried changing the switch settings in “PoE Setup” ==> “802/3at” - Nothing.

The access point manufacturer assures that the access point is compatible with “802/3af” & “802/3at”.

I've just received the switch, and maybe I've missed something in the configuration.

if anyone has any ideas to help me out, I'd love to hear from you.

Vincent

    Hi @vince_76600,

I checked the spec of NanoBeam 5AC Gen2, it seems like the power method of this device is "Passive PoE 2-pair (4, 5+; 7, 8 return)", this means this device can only be powered up by the PoE adapter. Therefore, you cannot use a switch to power it up.
