Zyxel gs1900-48

Hi, we needed a 48 ports switch for a classroom. Usually we use basic non manageable switches, but found the gs1900 in the price range.

When deploying our computer images, we use multicast (fog, ghost).

With a basic Tp link switch, we have high multicast transfer speed. With gs1900, the speed is divided by two.

Multicast sender and recipients are conntected to the same switch, disconnected from our network.

I tried disabling dos protection and enabling igmp. Now the imaging process finishes successfuly but is still slow.

Is there something i'm missing ?

    Hi @Erik26,

I would like to clarify some information:

    1. Which firmware version is your GS1900?
    2. How many clients connected to GS1900 when you were testing? What is the link speed of these clients?
    3. Did you enable any bandwidth control or storm control?
    4. Did you try to enable flow control on the server connecting port?
