Configure the switch to perform DHCP service in a VLAN
Hello everyone!
I have a Zyxel GS1920-24.
I want to configure the switch to perform DHCP service in a VLAN as in the following link -
How to configure the switch to perform DHCP service in a VLAN — Zyxel Community
But I can't configure the DHCP service.
Any ideas why or how I can do this?
I don't have the same option as in the link above.
Do I need to do a firmware update?

Hi @Stelian ,
According to the documentation, we mentioned that only L3 Switch models (3800 series, and 4600 series) support the DHCP Server function.

Hi @Zyxel_Judy
But does Zyxel USG FLEX 100 "know" how to manage VLAN's ?
Does it have a DHCP server to allocate IPs for VLAN's ?0 -
yes the FLEX 100 does VLAN with DHCP server

Hi @Stelian ,
The USG FLEX 100 can function as a DHCP server. It belongs to Zyxel's firewall series, not the switch series.
If you have both a USG FLEX 100 and a GS1920-24, you can:
- Configure the USG FLEX 100 as a DHCP server for your desired VLANs
- Set up the corresponding VLAN configurations on the GS1920-24 switch
