USG FLEX H Series - GUI Enhancements
In the latest uOS firmware version 1.30 update for the USG FLEX H Series devices, several key GUI (Graphical User Interface) enhancements have been introduced, providing administrators with improved monitoring, control, and troubleshooting options directly from the device dashboard. Here’s an overview of these updates and how they enhance the overall user experience.
1. Enhanced Port Details and POE Control
- Hover Information: Hovering over a port now reveals more comprehensive information, including:
- Port Number and Status
- Connected IP Address and Interface Type
- Zone Information: Each port displays its assigned network zone, providing better visibility over segmented network architecture.
- PoE Power Reset Functionality:
- When hovering over a port connected to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device, administrators can click on a Power Reset button to remotely reboot the device by toggling the PoE power off and on.
2. VLAN ID Display in DHCP Table
- VLAN ID column has been added to the DHCP table. This enhancement aids administrators in:
- Troubleshooting VLAN Configurations: Easily identify the VLAN associated with each interface for more efficient troubleshooting.
- Enhanced Filtering: Quickly locate DHCP leases based on VLAN, helping in situations where VLAN-specific DHCP data is required.
3. Export Functionality for DHCP Table
- The updated DHCP table now supports a detailed Export to CSV function. Users can export:
- All Interfaces: Export all DHCP lease data across interfaces.
- Selected Interface: Filter and export DHCP lease data for a specific interface, providing greater control over the data exported.
- CSV Format: The exported file includes detailed columns, such as IP addresses, lease expiration times, VLAN IDs, and hostnames, which enables further offline analysis or integration with external tools.
4. Improved License Expiry Notifications
- For users with the Entry Defense Pack or Gold Security Pack, the firmware now includes visual cues to help users identify active and expired security features:
- Diamond Icon: Appears next to features exclusive to the Gold Security Pack, indicating features that would require an active subscription for continued use.
- Expiry Banner: An on-screen banner reminds users of the license status, providing options to:
- Buy Now: Directs users to the marketplace to purchase or renew the license.
- View Details: Takes users to a summary page of the Gold Security Pack, helping them understand what services are included in the current or expired license.
