Background
IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) is the latest version of the Internet Protocol, designed to address the limitations of IPv4, including the exhaustion of available IP addresses. Enabling IPv6 on your Zyxel firewall ensures compatibility with modern networks and allows for improved connectivity and scalability.
How to Enable IPv6 Settings on USG FLEX/ATP Firewalls
- Navigate to IPv6 Settings
- Go to CONFIGURATION in the main navigation menu.
- Select System from the submenu.
- Click on IPv6.
- Enable IPv6
- Check the box for Enable IPv6 to activate IPv6 support on the device.
- Apply the Changes
- Click Apply to save the settings.
Verification
After enabling IPv6, users will have access to features supporting IPv6, such as:
- Security Policy
- Policy Route
- IPSec VPN
