What router do you have? you need a VLAN supported router

i have a tp link er605. it support vlan when outside of omada controller. So i want to give internet in a different house where it uses an other router(now it uses it as access point only) and want to use the gs1200 to give ips addreses in the 192.168.2.0 local network while my network is 192.168.1.0. i need to configure this network in the router?

So likely you might not of needed a switch...one of them ports on the er605 should be able to be set to another LAN without VLAN so that you have LAN1 your network 192.168.1.0 and LAN2 192.168.2.0 you then want to firewall the LAN's

unless you have used all them ports then you would need to go VLAN by setup a VLAN on the er605 to TAG to the switch and untag out a port to the different house

in ther er605 i have this setup, so a port gives ips of LAN_2. I wanted to set the LAN_2 in the router, that was in my mind before i buy it, i wanted to just give to the switch an ip like 192.168.1.200 and inside the switch to configure defferent networks, like 192.168.2.0, 192.168.3.0 and so on. But the switch cannot give ips by its own, has not dhcp. the ip should be given from the main router. So now if i want to have the following setup: main router(192.168.1.0) →gs1200 with ip 192.168.1.5 → other's house xiaomi router(192.168.2.0) what steps should i do ?

Theirs no need to give the switch a IP for VLAN 2 the management likely on VLAN1 for the switch IP so all you need you just need to setup the VLAN tag and untag on the switch I'm guess LAN with VLAN 1 is untag if thats how it works on the er605?

So now setup the switch VLAN like

    PVID port 1-3 ,5 set to 1

PVID port 4 set to 2

    VLAN 1 untag 1-3,5 non member 4

    VLAN 2 untag 4 tag 1 non member 2-3,5

    port 5 is your 192.168.1.0

    port 4 is your 192.168.2.0

If LAN VLAN1 is tag do

    VLAN 1 tag 1 untag 2,3,5 non member 4
