uOS – Configuration Migration Tool

Seamlessly Upgrade Your Firewall Configuration
Zyxel has introduced a Configuration Migration Tool to help users migrate settings from older Zyxel firewalls (USG, ATP, VPN, FLEX) to USG FLEX H-Series firewall.
This tool automates the process, reducing the need for manual reconfiguration when upgrading to USG FLEX H-Series firewalls.
How It Works
Step 1: Access the Migration Tool, URL:convert.cloud.zyxel.com
Step 2: Select the Source and Target Firewall
- Choose your current firewall model (e.g., USG FLEX 200)Select the target uOS model (e.g., USG FLEX 200H)
Note: Not all models support direct conversion – some require intermediate migration steps. (e.g., The USG and ZyWALL Series must first be converted to USG FLEX, ATP or VPN series before proceeding with the conversion to the USG FLEX H Series.)
Step 3: Upload Your Configuration File
- Export the running config from your old firewall and upload it to the migration tool
Step 4: Convert and Download the New Config
- The tool converts your settings automatically
- Download the converted file and import it into your new H-Series firewall
Migration Compatibility & Limitations
Not all features map 1:1 between old and new firewalls
- If a feature is not supported on the target model, the migration tool will log it as failed
- Some settings may be adjusted, restructured, or removed
- Users can review a detailed log file to check what was successfully migrated
- For a list of supported converted features, please refer to the release notesURL: Firmware Release Note
