Hello,

I would like to buy a GS1900-8 switch.
First, I would like to have more explanation about the Time Range.
I would like to be able to automatically turn off port "5" at 9 p.m., and turn it back on at 8 a.m.

Reading the instructions, I have the impression that all the ports on the switch are blocked.

Is my choice of switch compatible with this function?
Thanking you in advance for your clarifications

Sincerely

Bibi49

PS sorry for google translate

It is possible to use Time Range for individual PoE port to enable/disable PoE power on that port.

I don't see this function available to enable or disable non PoE port.

For me, this will become a very important function in order to limit the connection of children.

Is there a switch (at a reasonable price) that has this function (turning off a not POE port at a specific time) ?
Is this a feature that could be added in a future update ?

Thank you for your answers and for your responsiveness. 😉

There is no disable port but ACL can block at given times your best options are GS2220-10 or GS1920-24v2

If problem is wifi a cheaper option is a AP with Schedule like the NWA50AX Pro

OR for a poor mans timer get a 5 port switch and a smart plug

    It is not for wifi.

"OR for a poor mans timer get a 5 port switch and a smart plug" ⇒ The switch don't like On/Off 2 time /day.

I bought a GS1200-8 (to discover Zyxel: I find them quite good) a week ago, you can manually deactivate a port.

I find it a shame that even a more efficient model (GS1900-8 or GS1915-8) cannot do it at scheduled times.
