It is stupide and very anoing - what is the reason for this feature on GS1200 serie - at least give an option to disable that feature - it is not doing any good only time consuming

    Hi @guitarddns_john ,

The GS1200 enhances security by automatically logging out inactive sessions. When no activity is detected for the specified idle timeout period, the switch will automatically log out the user. Default HTTP session timeout is set to 5 minutes as you know.
You can configure the timeout duration from 1 to 30 minutes.

    Hi Zyxel-Judy

thanks for your answer - 30 min is better that 5 - but still in my case i need to watch packets ect so I don work at the switch but only watching - in order to do so - I have to interact with the switch before the time out - it is a big waist of time - in my case I don't need that force logoff at all - and since it is my product ( Pay for it) it seem strange that I can't prevent the force logoff - is there a "request for change" so I can apply for a complete disable or do I have to switch to another vendor to get this function ??

    thanks in advance

To better assist you, could you please share more details about what you're trying to view and do in the GS1200 GUI?

Please note that even if you don't access the GUI, the device is still forwarding traffic and packets as expected.
