Device and config for port failover setup for two identical pcs controller

I have to configure 2 identical controller PCs in the same rack, the first as master and the second as slave, to manage sensors. They must have the same IP address (identical controller PCs).
I need a failover setup to set up on a single switch/router to make sure the secondary comes online immediately in the event of a master failure and subsequent recovery.
Which device and which configuration do you recommend?
Thanks Max

The "FLEX link" feature might match your purpose, as it is a layer-2 primary and backup link mechanism.
For more information, please reference our switch user's guide Chapter 29 (Page 200).
The switch model that supports this feature:
Please check which switch matches your network and feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Thanks for your support.
I bought a gs2220-10 to test.
I still have a question: how does the switch to know if the master is still working?
with ping? with snmp? other?
Thanks bye,

It is by link. The backup link will take over once the primary link's status turns down.
