Zyxel XGS1250-12: dead port after update

Hi,

after updating to the latest fw and rebooting, port number 10 (10Gb), through which this udpate was done, stopped working (and after connecting any device to the port, the LED does not flash, too). Everything else worked and works ok.

Device: Zyxel XGS1250-12
Original firmware: unknown
New firmware: 2.00(ABWE.1)C0
SN: F44D5C6E2DC2 or S232L28003979

I have tried repeatedly:

  • reboot the device
  • reset via gui and button
  • different cables/clients on the port

Has anyone encountered something similar?

    Hi @yeffo,

    Do you mean the port LED didn't light on after connecting a device? Could you help connect port 10 and port 9 as a loop to check the port functionality?

    • after plugging ports 10 and 9 into the loop, neither lights up

    FYI, that FAQ link goes to the EMEA support page, so if you're in the US, it's different. I started going down that road to start a support request only to find that out. :)
