Compatible AP for C3000Z Wireless Router

Hello, I need to extend the wireless coverage that the C3000Z Wireless Router provides, and I would like to accomplish that by buying a compatible AP (Access Point) and connecting it to one of the LAN ports on the Router. The problem I'm trying to avoid is broken roaming, where the user disconnects when walking away from the AP and switching wireless signals to the Router (even with the same SSID/password). I'm looking at the following model of Zyxel AP's and I am unclear if this will work?

Zyxel Wifi 6 AX1800 Wireless Gigabit Access Point - NWA50AX

It says seamless roaming, but I'm unclear if the ROUTER (C3000Z) supports that with a controller of some sort?

Thanks for any info!

    Hi @Octocide ,

Although the C3000Z wireless router cannot act as the NWA50AX's controller, you can still deploy the NWA50AX or any Zyxel access point to extend your existing router's wireless coverage. Wireless clients will still be able to roam between your router and the NWA50AX.

    Follow the step-by-step guide here:

Does that include seamless roaming? Meaning, the hand off will not drop signal?

    Hi @Octocide ,

Roaming is the behavior of clients handle with the difference AP/ router. With the good deployment, seamless roaming exists.
We're unclear about C3000Z wireless router, however, NWA50AX's 802.11k/v will help APs through Ethernet get information about neighbor APs/SSID then share to the clients to let the roam process faster. The path to configure: Configuration > Object > AP Profile > SSID > SSID List > Add/Edit SSID Profile.
