Firmware upgrade for a GS1910-48 Switch

Hi all,

I've recently been given management of a ZyXEL GS1910-48 Switch - it's on a very old (2012) firmware build and I'd like to upgrade it to the latest (V2.00(AAAZ.0)C0)

The switch is currently on this firmware version:-

Software Version - V1.00(AAAZ.0)

Software Date - 2012-04-24 T 04:41:32+02:00

Code Revision - 80d3df065743

When i download the latest available firmware from the ZyXEL website, i get an error stating:-

"Invalid Firmware Image

The uploaded firmware image is invalid. Please use a correct firmware image."

A brief search online seems to indicate I need to upgrade to an older firmware version first before upgrading to the latest, but I cannot find any old versions available for download.

Could someone help me by confirming:-

1 - Do I need to upgrade to an older version first?

2 - If yes, where can I get the upgrade file from?

Firmware releases can be found at:

ftp://ftp2.zyxel.com/GS1910-48/firmware/

It looks two firmware releases were published on 2013 before the latest release (V2.00(AAAZ.0)C0).

I would try to upgrade step by step.
