Reverse DNS Lookup for Hostname when USG Flex H is not DHCP Server
Freshman Member
Hi there,
I use my main Windows Server for DHCP, as I have to for Active Directory to work. That server forwards requests to my Zexel so I can screen. I can setup xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa as a DNS forwarder zone on the Zyxel for my internal network. It would be fabulous if you could use this to reverse DNS into the hostnames and then make those hostnames available for reporting e.g. on the devices view - it is a bit limiting only seeing the IP addresses.
Thank you
Mark

Hi @MCFH,
Can I say you hope we can support the Reverse DNS Lookup function on the firewall to display the domain on the device view and other reporting pages? Will this make it easier to read the report instead of using the IP address? It would be helpful if you could share more of your point of view with us.
