Hello,

I am the owner of ZyWall 110, which has been purchased second-hand. It is registered to my ZyXell account and has been updated. The device is located at the entrance of my network, where I have proxmox and QNAP servers.

My primary question is how to configure LT2P and SSL VPN connections to my servers.

I do not have a static IP address for the WAN connection. Therefore, I have used DuckDns and Docker Image to update the current IP address to my domain. I intend to use an SSL VPN connection for Windows devices and LT2P for mobile devices such as iPhones or iPads.

I am not an IT specialist, but I am seeking solutions that enable remote connections to my services.

I suggest set up DDNS for your WAN interface and input DDNS hostname to VPN gateway profile > My Address: Domain name. Then the VPN clients can connect to ZyWall 110 with DDNS hostname

I tried to configure DDNS using my custom domain and set it up under both the Selfhost and User Custom options. However, in the DDNS Status Monitor it always shows "Fail".

Here's what I’ve checked and done:

• My DDNS domain is reachable from the web — I temporarily enabled ICMP (ping) to the ZyWALL via Default_Allow_WAN_To_ZyWALL, and the domain responds to ping correctly.
• The public IP address is updating properly on the DDNS provider side, and the domain resolves to the correct IP.
• Since DuckDNS does not require a username or password, I entered random values in those fields — maybe this is causing the "Fail" status?

Still, the status remains as "Fail" on the ZyWALL interface.

Any idea what might be going wrong? Is there any log I can check or specific format required for the custom DDNS settings?
