FWA710 System Failure
Hi all,
sorry but I am completely lost. I just got a FWA710. I added a SIM and the LED for the WAN turns Amber. However, the status LED is Red.
When I log on to the management site, everything seems to be ok.
I do not see anything to be fixed but I do not have Internet access.
Can somebody help me?
Thank you
Roger

HI @rhalbheer ,
the LED for the WAN turns Amber. However, the status LED is Red.
We need additional clarity regarding your description. Please refer to the image below to identify which LED colors correspond to which status indicators.
However, from your local management GUI, we can see that the signal strength is -114 dBm, which is extremely weak. This is likely causing your cellular connection to drop and resulting in the loss of internet connectivity. We recommend relocating your FWA710 to a position where it can receive a signal strength of at least -85 dBm, with better than -75 dBm being ideal for optimal performance.

You are right, I messed the LEDs up (the one near the SIM seems not to be the signal strength)
I do not get an internet connection and I do not see and error in the logs. The SIM card worked on another router, the mobile signal works for all the other devices in the houshold.
That's the best I can get:
Now both are kind of Amber

Hi @rhalbheer ,
The signal strength of -98dBm remains poor for a connection.
Please remember that the FWA710 is an outdoor mobile router designed to be installed on your roof or another outdoor location. The device features embedded directional antennas, so for optimal signal reception, ensure the FWA710 is facing toward the base station.

Thank you. What I do not get at all: I reset the device, reconfigure the WLAN and then wait (a long time). The status LED is Amber at the beginning. After quite some time it turns green - but then I do not see the WLAN anymore.

Hi @rhalbheer ,
The FWA710 features 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only that is designed exclusively for device configuration purposes. It also will be automatically disabled 30 minutes after the device boot-up due to security principles.
If you need to access the web GUI more than 30 minutes after device boot-up, please connect via Ethernet. Alternatively, you can use an Ethernet connection to access the web GUI and re-enable Wi-Fi.
For providing Wi-Fi service to end users, please deploy a dedicated access point or home router with WiFi feature.
