Zyxel XGS1210-12 configuration issues

Background:

I have a mikrotik router configured for Vlan tagging. Vlan are 10-20-30 and 100

I have a switch Zyxel XGS1210-12 and an access point Zyxel AX3000 multi Giga.

Management Vlan si set to 10, as per router settings.

Port 1 to 3 are untagged for VLAN 10

Port 4-5 are untagged for vlan20

Port 6and 7 are tagged for VLAN 30

Port 9 and port 12 are untagged for VLAN 100

Port 11 is the trunk so it is tagged for Vlan 10-20-30-100

Access point: carries three SSID VLAN10 for management, VLAN 20 for IoT devices VLAN 30 for mobile phones

Port 10 feeds the zyxel access point,but I currently struggling to have it configured properly and I don't have internet access, I am unable to get the access point to be assigned an IP address from the router. The current configuration is: port 10 tagged for VLAN 10-20-30 pvid set to 1. I tried PVID set to 10 but it did not work. I have no idea on how to make this work. I tried everything, even chatgpt :( and I am at a dead end.

I manage to get the right IP address for the matching VLAN on the physical ports of the switch, but nothing for the AP

I am also having a big issue, as the switch disappear from the network, is not seen by ZON, and I cannot reach it once it comes online, so any changes once it is configured are impossible without a reset. I tried to assign a static ip, did not work, dynamic IP, did not work.

I can live without the management interface if i manage to make the network works fine but it is quite annoying because this means not being able to upgrade, make changes without factory resetting the switch.

I tried to factory reset the AP, but nothing has happened. Can anyone please help?

I am not a network engineer, but I am venturing in building my home lab with lots of trial and errors. I think is a PVID configuration error, but I don't understand why the switch disappears from the ARP ven if it has a DHCP client active.

Hi @sergio_riggi,

Please help to check your AP's management interface setting. If you set VLAN 10 for the management VLAN, you need to set tagged on AP, and the switch connecting port need to set VLAN 10 with tagged member. For the SSID, you also need to set tagged member on your switch connecting port.
