Just updated our USG FLEX 700 from 5.39 ABWD.1 to 5.40 ABWD.0. After the USG has restarted, we noticed that different config changes from 2 days ago were not longer available! Don't know, which config the USG uses after the update and reboot - but not our current (latest) running startup config.

Fortunately we've saved our startup config file on yesterday that we could simply upload it again.

    Hi @USG_User,

I regret that you encountered this issue during your firmware upgrade process.

Thank you for highlighting the importance of backing up the startup-config file prior to firmware upgrades. This is indeed a critical step that we emphasize in our release documentation. As noted in the release notes, we strongly recommend that all users create a backup of their startup configuration before proceeding with any firmware update to prevent potential configuration loss.

In addition, could you help us by providing your config file so we can investigate what caused this issue? Also, have you recorded which configurations were no longer available?

We've moved a complete subnet into a VLAN two days ago. This was getting lost.

Further different new MAC addresses assignments to IP addresses for DHCP are getting lost, too.

Finally, due to the movement of a complete subnet into a VLAN, the corresponding Security Policy Rules have been updated. These changed rules are also getting lost.
