Wireless 700H, a dhcp address isn't being given out when a wifi client attempts to connect?

I have vlan12 setup to do dhcp.
The AP picked up a dhcp address when connected.
I added that AP to a "managed" AP group. (trying to do roaming, baby steps for me and this 700H software)
My wifi client fails to join the SSID because it "can't obtain a dhcp address".
What have I not configured correctly?
Shouldn't vlan12 dhcp addresses get assigned to connecting wifi clients?

Attached is the SSID, VLAN ID set to 12.
And since the AP itself received an dhcp address, it shows the switch and the dhcp are working on vlan 12.. so..??

    Hi @jef ,

We noticed there is another thread discussing this same issue, and we have already reached a conclusion there.

Wireless clients do not get a DHCP address unless I set the SSID to vlan 1? — Zyxel Community

    Conclusion:

According to our specifications, the AP’s default behavior is to use VLAN 1 as the management VLAN, with untagged traffic. We found that your AP's Force Overwrite VLAN Setting is disabled, so your AP's management VLAN follows our default behavior. Therefore, if the switch port connected to the AP is configured with PVID 12 and set to untagged, the AP will treat VLAN 12 as its native VLAN and is expected to obtain an IP address from that VLAN.

Similarly, clients connecting to an SSID configured with VLAN ID 1 will have their traffic sent untagged by the AP. Since the switch port assigns untagged traffic to VLAN 12, these clients will also receive IP addresses from VLAN 12.
