Wifi controller migration
Hi all,
I’m migrating Wi‑Fi management from an ATP200 to a USG FLEX 700H (FW version V1.35(ABZI.1)) however I am facing some issues.
The problem is that I am not able to register the APs on the FLEX. When I remove one of the APs from ATP200 management by clicking on the Remove button (so far I removed just the one since I need the wifi network to be running in the facility), the AP does not appear on the FLEX under Unmanaged APs list.
The AP model is Zyxel WAC6303D‑S.
What I already tried
- Set DHCP Option 138 on the FLEX (scope for VLAN99) to the exact IP of the FLEX on VLAN99.
- Verified trunks: VLAN99 and client VLANs are tagged on all switch links between APs and FLEX.
- Performed a light reset/reboot of the problematic AP.
- Confirmed that on AP adopted earlier on the FLEX operate normally (SSID broadcasting, clients obtain IP).
After this, the AP does appear in the ATP200 for registration, but does not apper in the FLEX device and I do not seem to be able to get it under the FLEX management.
When I first updated the FLEX device to the firmware supporting wireless, I was able to register one of the unused devices. I was able to set it up correctly and it works and provides stable connection - I am meantioning this to demonstrate, that the FLEX is setup correctly and is ready for managing APs.
Could somebody, please, give me an advice on how to migrate the APs managed by ATP 200 under FLEX management?
Thank you!
