Hello everyone,

using Flex/ATP series you can configure specific MAC filtering for specific SSID.

For example you can set more SSIDs with optional deny/allow lists.

Where the same function is on Flex H series with latest firmware?

Have a nice evening

    Hi @GiuseppeR ,

To configure MAC filtering for specific devices on H series, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Policy Clients

Go to Wireless > WLAN Clients > Policy Clients.

Click the "Add Policy Clients" button.

    Step 2

    A configuration window will appear.

    Click the "Add MAC" button

Step 3: Add Device MAC Address for specific policy

A new input window will open.

Enter the MAC address of the target device.

    Select the desired policy type:

Block Policy - Prevents the device from connecting

To Specific SSID - Restricts the device to a particular network

Apply the settings to activate the policy.

This is how to configure the MAC filtering feature on H series devices. If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.

    Best Regard,

    Lynn

    Hi @Zyxel_Lynn

I have see that area, but there you can set a specific MAC address to enter or not a specific SSID.

But you have to know the MAC address to block its pairing to a SSID.

And if you have unknow MAC addresses?

What I'm looking for is the "old style" MAC filtering, that was more efficient: everything blocked except listed MAC addresses for specific SSIDs.

    Hi @GiuseppeR ,

The H series allows SSID-specific MAC filtering through the Policy Client Configuration window. After entering a device's MAC address and selecting 'To specific SSID' policy, you can choose Normal (allow access) or Block (deny access) for that specific wireless network.

    Hope this help.

    I have to admit I don't get the layout…

But whats being asked is a default policy to block all MAC's on a given SSID but a allowed list for that given SSID

Exactly, all the Flex and ATP series could do that.

It is impossible not to have that on a H Series
