Switch port counter for link down/up (port flapping)

User @peos42 hopes the switch can display the number of port link down/up (port flapping).

    I vote for this addition!

    As it is more or less standard info (at least in all premium switches) to have "Number of link down events" in the port stats, I vote for an extension of the port statistics when the developers have run out of critical bugs to fix :)

    If you see an uptime of a couple of hours on the ISP fiber port and calculate when it actually happened, then the next though would maybe be "was this the only downtime for the ISP". And that you could not answer without digging into logs and count log entries containing "link down" of this port. But such a simple addition to port stats could tell you the ISP fiber has been down xx times since stats was cleared.

    So I vote for this addition as it adds good info for the switch admin.

    Useless for tracking down a bad cable

    However Zyxel switches not the simple ones like XGS1250-12 but old ones like as old as GS2200 do have a log for port down and up in Diagnostic when click display or System log on GS2210 or XS1930.
