WDS SSID is NOT hidden
Hello,
I managed to connect two AP’s via WDS.
But…. now I see an additional WiFi. I though the created profile will be used to connect the AP’s, so that they can “communicate” with each other.
So, here are my questions:
- I see now a new WiFi access point (SSID) available called “MyZyXELWDS”.
- I thought this will be used the connect the two devices and it is HIDDEN!
Thanks!

Hi @Ikarus
Thanks for the information. This issue is because of the enforced MLO rules. It does not support a hidden SSID, therefore, the WDS SSID can't be hidden. For more details, please reference this link with highlight.
P.S. MLO is enabled by default.

Hello @Zyxel_Melen,
Many thanks for the answer.
Yes, the 5G and 6G band is configured as 11be.
Just to clarify, is the WDS SSID hidden if the mode is 11ax?
