[USG Flex H Series] - PPPoE over VLAN - Reference
Ally Member
Hello everyone,
My ISP uses a PPPoE over a specified VLAN, so I need to create two interface types, one for the VLAN with DHCP (that obtain 0.0.0.0) and then a PPPoE that uses this VLAN Interface (and obtain the external IP).
Now I have some NAT/Rules/BWM/Address to do.
My question is: on what interface I need to configure this objects? On the VLAN or on the PPPoE, because seems that both uses different interface name and I can configure some services for one, and some for the other.
Why I can reference the PPPoE or directly the VLAN Interface? When do you use a reference on one interface or the other?
For example: I can use an Interface Subnet object, and I can point it on PPPoE interface or VLAN interface. Which is the best choice? Why?
As for BWM, I need to choice the VLAN or PPPoE interface as Outgoing Interface?

Hi @Maverick87
For all of configuration, please select the PPP interface. Select VLAN interface will not apply to the PPPoE interface.
