GS1910-24HP – Looking for ROM / Recovery file (EOL) to restore switch

Hello Zyxel Community,

I am trying to recover a Zyxel GS1910-24HP switch which is currently stuck in RedBoot.

The device is EOL and Zyxel support confirmed that recovery is only possible via console using atlc + XMODEM, but unfortunately they no longer have the required ROM / boot image file.

What I have:

Model: GS1910-24HP

• Hardware is OK (RedBoot accessible)
• Console works at 115200 baud
• Normal firmware available only as .dat (e.g. 200AAAY0C0.dat)
• No ROM / boot file available

According to Zyxel’s recovery instructions, a ROM file (not the .dat firmware) is required for atlc, but I cannot find it anywhere online.

My question:
Does anyone still have or know where to find the original GS1910-24HP ROM / recovery file
(e.g. from firmware V1.x or V2.x), or has successfully recovered this model before?

Any help, archive links, or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

We’ve checked our firmware package for the GS1910-24HP. It only contains the standard .dat files and does not include a ROM recovery image. Since this model has already reached End of Life, we’re only able to provide limited support.

Please try the procedure described in the User Guide under “How to Reset the Switch via the Console Port” section to recover your device:

If the issue persists and the device cannot be recovered, we’d recommend considering our current switch models as a replacement. We appreciate your understanding.
