Since the switch default management VLAN is VLAN 1, you need to create general interface (no VLAN ID) on your firewall/router first.
Here are some steps for the deployment:
- Configure your firewall with the general interface and VLAN interface.
- Add your switch to Nebula.
- Pre-configure your switch on Nebula. Ex. management VLAN, port settings, etc. P.S. Each port are configured to be a member of management VLAN, you don't need to set manually.
- Connect your switch to the firewall. The switch will get IP from the firewall's general interface.
- Switch connects to Nebula via the general interface.
- Switch change to Nebula mode and reboot.
- Switch boots up and connects to Nebula via the general interface.
- Nebula push configuration to the switch.
- Switch gets new IP address from the firewall's VLAN interface and connects to Nebula.
