How USG check emails ?

Does this service check all emails ? Even when I use ThunderBird with SSL/TLS authorization ?

Hi @mLipok

USG devices use SSL Inspection feature to decrypt SSL traffic, send it to the UTM engine for inspection, and then encrypt the traffic that passes inspection and forward it to the destination server.

The SSL inspection is mainly for https traffic inspect.

As for antivirus on mail, it can be scan on SMTP and POP3 protocol without SSL/TLS encrypt.
