    Hi @falghaleb,

The Zyxel XMG1915-10EP is a NebulaFlex switch, which means it supports both standalone mode (local management via a web GUI) and Nebula cloud management. However, these modes are mutually exclusive, meaning the switch operates in one mode at a time, not both simultaneously as a "hybrid."

When you connect your XMG1915-10EP to the cloud, it automatically switches to Nebula cloud mode, and many local configuration options become limited or hidden as management is centralized through Nebula.

To manage your XMG1915-10EP in standalone mode, you would need to remove it from your Nebula organization. This action will reset the switch to its factory default settings and allow you to manage it locally via its web interface.

Here are the steps to switch your device back to standalone mode:

    • Log in to your Nebula Cloud account at https://nebula.zyxel.com.
    • Navigate to Organization-wide > License & inventory > Devices.
    • Select the checkbox next to your XMG1915-10EP switch.
    • Click the "Action" button and choose "Remove from organization".
    • Confirm your selection.

After removing it from Nebula, the switch will operate in standalone mode. To access its local management interface:

    • Ensure your computer is connected to the same network segment as the switch.
    • Use the Zyxel One Network (ZON) Utility to find the switch's IP address.
    • Open a web browser and enter the switch's IP address.
    • Log in with the default credentials (usually Username admin and Password 1234).

To prevent the switch from automatically reconnecting to Nebula, you can disable "Nebula Control Center Discovery" from the switch's local web interface under SYSTEM > Cloud Management.

If you require further assistance or have additional questions, please provide the following information:

    • Screenshots of any error messages you encounter.
    • Your network topology map.
    • If you decide to re-add the device to Nebula, please enable Zyxel Support Access via Help > Support Request in the Nebula console and provide your Organization and Site name. This will allow the Zyxel support team to view your cloud environment directly and expedite troubleshooting.

    Hi @falghaleb,

    Welcome to the Zyxel Community!

As Zyxel_Barry mentioned above, standalone (on-premise) and cloud (Nebula) modes are currently mutually exclusive.

To help us understand and evaluate this request, could you please share more details, such as your motivation and the specific use case or scenario you're aiming for?

    Hi Tina,

Thank you for your response, I'd like to lets say manage/monitor the switch with nebula cloud, but not have it in cloud mode?

    Thanks again,

    Best Regards.

    Hi @falghaleb,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Please allow me to clarify: If the device is registered to Nebula and has network connectivity to reach the cloud, the switch enters cloud management mode, which erases the previous configuration. In this mode, Nebula becomes the primary management platform, and local GUI configurations will be limited.

Therefore, we recommend using Nebula to both configure and monitor the device from the cloud for easier centralized management and visibility.
