CX4800-56F Stacking

The CX4800-56F now supports hardware stacking with the release of firmware version 2.00 (patch0). This management capability is available in both on-premise and Cloud modes.

Configuration Details

• Member Limit: Currently supports a maximum of two units per stack.
• Channels: Supports 2-port or 4-port stacking channels.
• VLAN Isolation: Currently unsupported in stacking mode.

FEC (Forward Error Correction)

Because high-speed 100 Gbps links are susceptible to collisions, manual FEC selection is required to ensure link accuracy. The "auto" option was removed to prevent errors.

• Clause 91: Ideal for long DAC cables (>3m).
• Clause 74: Recommended for short DAC cables (< 3m) to minimize latency.
• Disabled: Entirely removes throughput overhead but increases collision risk.
