LAG Enhancements

Nebula 19.30 introduces relaxed rules for Link Aggregation (LAG) to provide greater flexibility.

New Compatibility Rules

  • Media Type: This is the only mandatory requirement for aggregation; mismatching (with/without) media types cannot be aggregated.
  • Relaxed Criteria: Ports with different speeds (e.g., 1G and 2.5G), different types (Copper and SFP), or different POE capabilities can now be aggregated.
  • Exception: The CX4800-56F cannot aggregate 25G and 100G ports because they lack an "auto" speed value.

Inheritance and UI Updates

  • Settings Inheritance: Aggregated ports inherit VLAN, RSTP, and LLDP settings from the member with the lowest port ID. In stacks, it follows the lowest Slot ID then lowest Port ID.

  • Removed Settings: POE, Link Speed, and Flow Control settings are no longer available on aggregated ports to simplify configuration and match vendor standards.

  • Uplink Icons: All member ports of an uplink LAG now correctly display the uplink arrow icon.
