Zyxel FWA510 stuck in boot loop – no Wi-Fi SSID and no DHCP after factory reset

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with my Zyxel FWA510 device.

Symptoms:

When powering on the device, the LEDs behave as follows:

• The Power LED starts blinking during the boot process.
• After a few seconds, the Power LED becomes solid, and the WiFi/WPS LED also turns solid.
• A few seconds later, the Power LED starts blinking again, then returns to solid along with the WiFi/WPS LED.

This sequence repeats continuously in a loop.

Network behavior:

• No Wi-Fi SSID is broadcast by the device.
• When connecting a computer via Ethernet, the device does not assign any IP address via DHCP.
• Therefore, I cannot access the management interface.

Troubleshooting already performed

• Performed a factory reset using the reset button.
• Tested with different Ethernet cables and network interfaces.

However, the behavior remains exactly the same.

Questions:

Does this behavior indicate:

• a firmware boot loop?
• a recovery mode on the FWA510?
• or possibly a hardware failure?

Is there any procedure available to force a firmware recovery (for example via USB) on this device?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regarding the issue you're encountering, could you please confirm your power supply? An insufficient power supply can sometimes cause a device to enter a boot loop.

Please ensure you're using the original power adapter or one that meets the exact power specifications for the FWA510. If you've used the correct adapter and the issue persists, we suggest contacting your local support to submit an RMA.
