FWA515 - 2.4GHz issues

If I don't separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz and enable a guest network, it shows up on 5GHz but not on 2.4GHz (it has a hidden SSID on 2.4GHz even though that option isn't checked).

If I separate the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks (a process which is buggy itself and requires a rewrite of the 1.6 firmware version with deleting settings - and even then, the option to separate the networks only appears not grayed out once), then the 2.4GHz network has a hidden SSID (and any 2.4GHz guest networks I create too), although I haven't checked the option to hide the SSID.

This is my first Zyxel and will probably be my last, and returned if I can't get to the bottom of these issues. This amount of bugs is just insane to me - consumer hardware has way less issues.

    Hi @dekaru ,

Issue 1: If you are using the FWA515 with the factory firmware version 1.5, or updated to firmware version 1.6 but performed a factory reset, the "Keep 2.4G and 5G the same" option cannot be unticked. This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next official firmware release. In the meantime, the workaround is to re-upload firmware version 1.6.

Issue 2:Regarding the hidden SSID on 2.4GHz when the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are either separated or not separated — we conducted a local test and found that both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs are visible, so we were unable to reproduce your issue on our end.

Could you please provide more details on how you confirmed that the 2.4GHz SSID is hidden in your network? For example, did you use a Wi-Fi scanning app? If so, could you share a screenshot so we can investigate further?
