Enhanced Failover Visibility: Active Device Reboot Logs

Zyxel has improved the transparency of High Availability (HA) events by introducing a specific log reason for intentional failovers.

New Failover Reason

In addition to traditional triggers like "heartbeat missing" or "monitor interface failure," the HA logs now include an "Active Device Reboot" entry. This specific reason is logged during "warm restarts," which include reboots via the web GUI, NCC live tools, CLI commands, or scheduled tasks.

Firmware Upgrade Tracking

The system also distinguishes between standard reboots and those required by a firmware upgrade. During these events, the active node informs the passive node of the reboot, allowing for a coordinated role switch and providing administrators with clear historical data in the HA log.
