Maintaining HA Synchronization: Firmware Upgrade Lock

To prevent synchronization failures between nodes, Zyxel has implemented a firmware upgrade lock when the Device HA state is set to "Paused".

Coordination Requirements

A standard HA firmware upgrade requires coordination between the active and passive nodes. When HA is paused, this communication is suspended for troubleshooting purposes. To prevent units from becoming mismatched, the system now prevents both manual and scheduled upgrades (including those from NCC) while the pause is active.

Notifications

If an upgrade is attempted while paused, the user receives a warning message stating the action is unavailable. Failures for scheduled updates are also recorded in the NCC logs with the specific reason that HA is paused.
