Zyxel has enhanced the AP Controller (APC) capabilities on H series firewalls, integrating powerful diagnostics and performance features previously available only in the cloud.

WiFi Aid Diagnostic Dashboard

The WiFi Aid feature provides a specialized troubleshooting interface for managed APs, specifically supported on WBE 530 and WBE 665S models. Administrators can query failed connection attempts within a specific time range to identify if issues are related to wireless connectivity, DHCP, or DNS. The dashboard includes a "Show History within the time range" option to view all past failed attempts, and clicking an entry redirects the user to detailed connection logs for precise root-cause analysis.

Zero-Wait DFS for WAX650S

Zero-Wait DFS is now supported for the WAX650S when managed by the H series APC. This model utilizes a unique dedicated scanning radio to perform the required Channel Availability Check (CAC) in the background. This allows the AP to switch to high-performance DFS channels without the standard 1-to-10 minute service silence, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for end-users.
