Zyxel has updated the DHCP reservation system to reduce administrative friction when deploying multiple identical networking devices.

Duplicate Hostname Support

Previously, reservations required unique hostnames, which often caused conflicts when multiple APs shared the same default factory model name. The system now permits duplicate hostnames as long as the MAC address is unique. This allows administrators to reserve large batches of hardware without needing to manually rename every unit during the initial reservation phase.
