The performance difference between standalone and Nebula modes on the AP can occur due to variations in firmware versions and radio settings.
Here are a few possible reasons and solutions:
- Firmware Version: Ensure the device is using at least firmware version 7.10p2 for optimal WiFi 7 performance. Update if necessary.
- Radio Settings: Verify that radio configurations in Nebula match the standalone setup:
- Channel Width (e.g., 80MHz or 160MHz) and Channel Selection should be consistent.
- Enable DCS (Dynamic Channel Selection) Client Awareness to avoid performance issues during channel scans.
- Security Service of Nebula: Disable security service(Site-wide > Configure > Access points > Security service) temporarily and re-test performance. It has been observed that disabling the security service can significantly improve the test results.
If further analysis is needed, enable Zyxel Support Access via Help > Support Request > Zyxel Support Access in the Nebula interface, and share your Organization and Site name with Zyxel support for deeper investigation.
