Overview

This document provides firmware release information on Zyxel Access Points platforms, introduce new Access Points, new features and enhancements, bug fix, known issues and workarounds information for Release V7.12 Patch 0 C0.

New Features and Enhancements

Following features are supported on NCC (Nebula Control Center) with the latest AP firmware. For the list of supported models, please refer to the NCC Device Function Table. 

1. Introduced 'Existing User Protection' feature for Captive Portal clients, enhancing user session management capabilities. 

2. Enhanced RADIUS authentication security with MS-CHAPv2 support, enabling stronger mutual authentication and encryption mechanisms. 

3. Added Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) QoS configuration to Advanced SSID settings, enabling granular traffic prioritization and enhanced user experience.

4. [RMID: 68986] [Symptom] NWAX55AX PTP repeaters in factory default state may exhibit incorrect LED blinking behavior, failing to accurately indicate the Nebula Control Center status.	V	-	-
5. [RMID: 68885] [Symptom] NWA55AX PTP Root APs in a Smart Mesh setup may exhibit abnormal LED behavior, showing a slow blinking red, after internet connectivity is temporarily lost and restored.	V	-	-
