Hello,

I have 3x NWA55AXE:
1x as Root AP and 2x in Repeater mode with 5G on Radio 2
Radio 1 ist for communication to the clients.
With Firmware 7.10 (4) all ist working fine and all clients connect, some with static IP, some via DHCP. All is stable for weeks.
With Firmware 7.12 (0) on all Repeaters the clients have problems to have a stable connection.
Clients are her, away, reconnect all the time … no stable connection possible.
No vonfiguration change between 7.10 (4) and 7.12 (0).
Downgrading to 7.10 (4) solves the problem.

Has anyone same problems in repeater mode?
Wha information do you need additional?
What should change in configuration with 7.12 (0) to get a stable connection to the clients?

TNX for help
Siegfried

    Hi @SiegfriedH

Please help to collect the diagnostic file for three devices when using:

    1. 7.10(4)
    2. 7.12(0)

And the MAC address of issuing clients so we can check if this is related with WiFi signal or another issue.

Here is the FAQ to collect the AP diagnostic file:

    Hello Melen,

I found that with 7.12(0) under station list the TX signal isn't stable …
    Diagfiles are made and sent.

    Hi @SiegfriedH

After checking, we assume this is because the end devices failed to pass authentication since the security option has been enhanced in version 7.12.

    Please try the following:

    1. Forget the WiFi on these devices and reconnect again. These devices might still be using the previous WiFi association information, which could be causing the authentication failure.
    2. If the devices are still unable to connect, we recommend creating a new SSID for these devices since they are IoT devices. Here are the suggested SSID settings:
      1. Please set it to 2.4GHz only.
      2. For the Security option, please set it to WPA2-Personal.
      3. If possible, please set the 2.4GHz radio to 802.11b/g/n mode.

    Hi Mylen,

I updated the second AP in repeater mode to 7.12(0).
Then I deleted the wifi connection of the clients and made it new - now all is running stable.
    So point 2. wasn't necessary.

The root AP has still 7.10(4).
