Firmware update from 2.20 to 2.90 for GS1900-24 fails

I tried with ZON and Web UI, both fail. The Web UI doesn't show all the content, probably the browser is too new for the Web UI version (2016).

ZON shows status: updating and after 15s it shows: Fail to update firmware {Set error}

Is this upgrade directly from 2.20 to 2.90 possible without a firmware version eg 2.40 in between?

Directly upgrading the GS1900-24 firmware from version 2.20 to 2.90 is supported.

Regarding the issue where the Web UI doesn't show all the content, our internal testing did reproduce. Due to the significant version gap, browser incompatibilities with the legacy Web UI do occur, so we recommend using the ZON Utility for the update.

To resolve the 'Fail to update firmware {Set error}' message in ZON, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Temporarily disable the Windows Firewall (be sure to re-enable it once the upgrade is completed).

2.Right-click and select [Run as administrator] to launch the ZON application.

3.Proceed with the update via ZON Utility -> [Firmware Upgrade].

Pre-Upgrade Precautions

• Backup Configuration: Always save and back up your current configuration file to your local computer before starting any upgrade process.
• Do Not Power Off: Once the firmware transfer begins, do not turn off or interrupt power to the switch. The process can take between 5 to 15 minutes, and the device will automatically reboot once completed.

I succeeded to update the firmware with the ZON utility. Disabling the firewall solved the issue.
