Granular Traffic Control

The USG Flex H series now supports Application Bandwidth Limiting, a feature previously available on ATP and USG Flex firewalls. This allows administrators to either block specific applications entirely or restrict their bandwidth consumption to ensure critical business services remain performant.

Configuration and Scoping

Bandwidth limits can be applied globally to all interfaces or targeted toward specific internal interfaces like GE3 or GE4.

It is important to note that if new interfaces are added to the firewall later, administrators must manually update the bandwidth rules to include them.

Priority and Troubleshooting

Application bandwidth limits configured via Nebula take priority over local bandwidth management settings found in the firewall's web GUI. For troubleshooting, administrators can use specific CLI commands (e.g., "cmd debug nebula app info") to verify which applications are being blocked or limited by the cloud-pushed configuration.
