[USG Flex H - V1.39(ABZH.0)ITS-260800686] - User Custom DDNS effective IP not appear

Hi @Maverick87 ,
Under the [Public IP] setting in the [User Custom] type, the ZyWALL queries a third-party URL to obtain its current public IP address, then sends an update request to the DDNS server, and writes the Public IP to the Effective IP field based on the server's successful response.
Given the uniqueness of Dynu DDNS, we provide dedicated Dynu DDNS service types [Dynu Basic / Premium] to choose from. When using the dedicated [Dynu Basic] types, clicking the Update button should properly display the Effective IP.
Thank you for your support of Zyxel.

Hi @Zyxel_Luna,
OK but my IP change every day (every night I power off my network, and every morning I power on all the network devices, and in this way my external WAN IP change). The WAN IP change, arrive to Dynu, that change correctly the IPv4, but seems that in the Effective IP return always "blank"
As you can see the IP was updated today at 08:35AM GMT+2, but the Effective IP is empty.
Thank you

hmm so your sure your IP changes? so the FLEX H is also powered off at night to be turn on?
maybe to night as a test note down your IP have only user custom enabled and turn off then check your Effective IP.

Hi Peter,
I've tried to refresh my IP from the WAN interface (click on "disconnect"); my external IP changed and now I see the effective IP.
In a little while, I try to reboot the 500H and try to see if the IP change and also the effective IP.
I'm still 1000% sure that every time I reboot (or turnoff-turnon the network) the WAN PPPoE take a different IP.

There is a time difference FLEX shows 2006-08-24 12:38:28 were Dynu show 2026/08/24 12:36:15 it would seem the FLEX might of checked again and got back the nochg clearing the Effective IP.

Can be this the problem :)

Well if we go back to what I posted
If Dynu only did on update
good 92.239.74.95
and not
nochg
Then there should be no problem and like really why sent nochg vs good 92.239.74.95 to save some bytes? or Zyxel can just ignore the nochg to not make the Effective IP go blank.
that what I think the problem is not 100% but I do know it causes no problem

Yes, obviously no problem, it's only a visualisation "bug"...

Its a bit more then a visualisation "bug" its a case of who is right or are they both right or are the both wrong.
If you was to ask Contact Us | Dynu to not do on update for DDNS nochg and always do good IP there be not problem I'm sure
