I have suffered through with my current USG60W, poor wireless and consistent drops. Is the NB series better? What are the key differences? Willing to get a new USG60W-NB if the reliability is there.

    Hi @Ncarbon,

USG60W has 1 year of bundle UTM service.

USG60W-NB is the same as USG60W but has no bundle UTM service.

Make sure your USG60W is upgraded to 4.35 because the fix for AP disconnected issue is included in 4.35.

You can also refer to the suggestion in this discussion thread to improve the wireless throughput.

So what does Next Generation mean? How can I tell if the the NEW router I ordered is Next?

    Hi @Ncarbon,

All the models below are Next-Generation Unified Security Gateway.

    ZyWALL 110/ ZyWALL 310/ ZyWALL 1100/ USG20-VPN/ USG20W-VPN/ USG40/ USG40W/ USG60/ USG60W/ USG110/ USG210/ USG310/ USG1100/ USG1900/ USG2200 Series

    USG60W-NB is also Next-Generation model.

The NB in the model name USG60W-NB means "Non bundle", which means it has no bundle UTM license.

You have to purchase UTM licenses if you need UTM service on USG60W-NB.

To distingush new USG/ZyWALL models from old USG models (ZyWALL USG 50, 100, 200...), we called the new models (ZyWALL 110/ ZyWALL 310/...) as Next-Generation Unified Security Gateway.
