Q1: What is the maximum PoE power budget for the USG FLEX H series PoE models? Is it dedicated per port or shared across ports?

Answer:

The USG FLEX H series provides a total PoE power output of 30W.

For models with only one PoE port (such as the USG FLEX 50HP, 100HP, and 200HP), the single port provides a dedicated power budget of 30W.

For models equipped with two PoE ports (P3/P4), such as the USG FLEX 500H and 700H, the total 30W power budget is shared between both ports. That is, the combined output across both ports cannot exceed 30W, rather than 30W on each port.

Q2: Does the USG FLEX H series support manual configuration of PoE port priority?

Answer:

Currently not supported. Users cannot manually designate PoE priority (for example, setting Port 3 to have priority over Port 4).

Q3: How does the system handle situations where the total device power consumption exceeds 30W?

Answer:

Scenario 1 (Both PoE ports actively supplying power): If both ports are delivering power (e.g., 13W + 13W) and increased power consumption during device operation causes the total power to exceed 30W, the system will cut off power to Port 4 first to prioritize and maintain continuous power delivery to Port 3.

Scenario 2 (New device plugged in exceeds budget): If a connected port is active (e.g., drawing 20W) and a newly attached device requests power that would cause the total to exceed 30W (e.g., requesting 15W upon connection), the system will directly reject powering the new device to ensure operational stability for the existing equipment.
