DHCP client WAN ports not working in V1.39
Ally Member
Hello. After updating a 200HP and a 500H to version 1.39, the DHCP client on the WAN side fails to obtain an IP address from the Internet Service Provider (ISP).
I reverted to the partition running version 1.38, and everything is working correctly again; the DHCP client successfully obtains an IP address on the WAN ports configured this way.
Is this an issue with version 1.39? What has changed?

Hi @Pedroj,
Can you share your port configuration via a screenshot?
I use the physical eth port P1 to obtain an address via DHCP and works correctly.
I don't obtain it directly from ISP, but I obtain it from another device directly connected to the P1 port.FWA (DHCP Server) —> Port P1 on Flex 500H
The FWA release correctly the IP to flex, and the flex take correctly the IP from DHCP.

Note that the packet capture on FLEX H model may not correctly capturer the DHCP being done.
The DHCP client method for discover and request options has not changed in over a year so this is unlikely to be the issue.
So to capture the problem you will need a switch with mirror support to capture the working v1.38 to V1.39 between FLEX H and internet
check the MAC did not change for any reason
