Hello folks.
I have recently purchased a GS1910-48 and updated the firmware to version V2.00(AAAZ.0)C0.
I am very familiar with Zyxel switch GS3700. But the interface of
GS1910-48 is quite different.
So, what i want to do is:
- Configure VLAN 10 on ports 1 and 2.
- Configure VLAN 401 on port 4.
- Configure VLAN 402 on port 5.
- Configure VLAN 501 on port 11.
And finally, configure a VLAN Trunk on port 51.
The port 51 is connected to a router that has already the vlans defined.

Here's a screenshot of the interface:
http://prntscr.com/s3l0av
http://prntscr.com/s3l0ny

My problem is that when i do the configurations above, the computers connected on those ports can't access the network configured on the vlans.
Either the router can't access the switch on the Trunk.

Hope someone can enlight me with an example.

Best regards

    Thanks Lucious.
Another question: Can i put a range of vlans on Allowed VLans column? Like "400-410,500-505" ?

    Cheers

    That worked out perfectly.
However, when i configure the switch ip address with the vlan, i loose access to it. Even if i am on the same vlan.
    Example:
    - Port 1 is configured with vlan 10, my PC is connected on Port 2 (vlan 1).
    - I go to the switch management - ip, and configure the ip has 192.168.100.6 and vlan 10.
    - I connect my PC to Port 1 and change my PC ip to 192.168.100.10 (same range of the switch).
And i can't connect to the switch. Not even on vlan 1 i can.
I can get access again if i connect with a usb-com cable to the com port and change the vlan again to 1 on telnet.

Any clue on why is this happen?
    Regards

If the management IP for the switch is on Vlan 10 your PC must also be on Vlan 10.  Even if the IP addresses of both devices are in the same subnet if they are not in the same Vlan they will not be able to “see” each other.

You need to set the PVID of port 2 to 10.

    Hello imaohw.
If you read my last reply, that was exactly what i did.
My PC IS on VLan 10 and configured with the same ip range has the management IP. But still, i can't access the management.

Sorry @Webix,  I missed that.  It would be helpful if you could you post a screen shot of your switch IP configuration screen (just before you press apply) and the Vlan configuration screen.

    Hi @Webix

When the issue happens, can you also check switch's MAC table to see which VLAN your PC is in?

When i click on apply, i loose access to the management interface. The only way to get back access is to reboot the switch.

What is your PC's IP, 192.168.100.10?
If so, management IP of the switch should be in the same subnet, 192.168.100.x/24, but not 192.168.1.2/24.
